Conrad Schnitzler

These releases document the collaborative efforts of DWM with our late friend Conrad Schnitzler, who began his career in the early version of ambient/krautrock band Tangerine Dream, leaving after one album to form Kluster, and since then having recorded and released literally hundreds of releases, on all virtually all formats of recorded music. His influence on the German experimental scene cannot be overestimated, and it is an honour for DWM for having worked with him.

Artist: Doc Wör Mirran featuring Conrad Schnitzler

Title: Rojo

Label: Tourette Records Format: CD Catalog #: Tourette #42 Release Date: May 14th, 2015

Before his death in 2011, Conrad sent Joseph B. Raimond a large amount of unfinished recordings and unused cover art for DWM to augment and complete for collaborations. He never talked about his illness, and it came to us as a complete surprise to hear about his death soon after. The ten tracks on this release represents the first set of many of the resulting collaborations, and feature, what else?, the typical experimental nature of Conrad's audio efforts with the strangeness and humour typical of DWM. Limited to 300 copies, this release on the fine Tourette Records label out of Texas, USA features a beautiful gatefold, full colour cover, and includes the contributions of Ralf Lexis, Adrian Gormley, Cedric Raimond and Denise Kusiak in addition to Joseph B. Raimond and Conrad Schnitzler.
