PAY NO MORE THAN $0.00!

Welcome to MissmanagemenT, a new label of the MT Untertainment group of labels, devoted to free music. Inspired by the writings of B.H. Skinner, this is the label where MT puts it’s money where it’s mouth is, namely, a label totally independent and free of the constraints of the music business and the shackles of commerce. Missmanagement CDs are always free! Inspired by the freedom inherent in the internet and MP3 technology, MissmanagemenT releases are an attempt at combining this spirit with the medium of traditional CD and, perhaps, analog releases. Now, of course, we have to spend money to create the releases, but that isn’t the point. Once created, they exist free of capitalism and the music business. There are no big advertising budgets involved, no big promotion campaigns, no kissing slimey music journalist asses for a story, no guest lists and no cigar-smoking music business egos involved. Here, creativity exists without the shackles that the music business inflicts upon its artists. You want a copy? Here, have one, enjoy it. Its that simple. Why DWM? Well, DWM has, since its inception in 1984 in San Francisco, attempted to operate outside of the music business. DWM recordings are never copyrighted, and the songs are not registered with GEMA or any other mechanical royalty collecting agency. We have never signed a recording contract, and have always given our recordings to labels for free. MissmanagemenT is simply an extension of this philosophy. Please write for availability. Title: Guitarred And Feathered

Label: MissmanagemenT Format: CD Catalog #: Have One (MT-353) Release Date: June 23rd, 2008

DWM's 100th release as well as the first release on the newest MT sub-label is DWM's epic "Guitarred And Feathered", an album of all new, studio material recorded in Fuerth, Germany and Adine, Italy. Less experimental and much more guitar oriented, it features a great full color cover throughout, including a real cigarette under the tray card. Pressed on a black plastic, this twelve song CD features Joseph B. Raimond, Ralf Lexis, Adrian Gormley, Frank Abendroth, Laurent Gabiot and Jeandra Raimond.

Title: Künstlergruppe

Label: MissmanagemenT Format: CD Catalog #: Have Two (MT-322) Release Date: October 1st, 2010

Recorded at roughly the same time as the "Guitarred And Feathered" songs, this thirteen song collection features only performances and artwork by Joseph B. Raimond, hence the ironic title. A bit more experimental than its sibling release, it also featurs a wonderful full color cover throughout and is pressed on orange plastic.

Title: A Portrait Of Your Death

Label: MissmanagemenT Format: CD Catalog #: Have Three (MT-556) Release Date: September 1st, 2009

The third ever live performance of DWM in 25 years finds them at the John Peel Festival in Koeln, Germany. A benefit to raise money for the John Peel Heart Foundation, this concert found Joseph B. Raimond, Ralf Lexis and Adrian Gormley together on a stage for the first time. Adrian even flew in from California for this one show. This is the fifth installment in our series of free CDs, and is pressed on red plastic. For more information on other live releases, please refer to our live page.

Title: Retch

Label: MissmanagemenT Format: CD Catalog #: Have Four (MT-557) Release Date: August 22nd, 2011

For the most part, Retch is a collection of instrumental DWM outakes and spare tracks. They were thrown onto the master without much thought to order or flow, and many were perhaps even considered unfinished at the time they were recorded. You’ll hear that wonderful invention of analog recording techniques, tape hiss, on some of the tracks, betraying the fact that they were recorded on our old analog 8 track, which died years ago. Take it or leave it, Retch is what it is. Most of the last half of tracks were originally slated to become part of our aborted DWM/Motorpsycho collaboration project “Music From The Back Seat Of My Fjord” (thanks Jeannette for the great title). Other tracks were slated to become part of a new DWM studio album that just sort of lost steam. By the way, the spoken word intro to “Trekno”, recorded a few hours before he actually left, was the last thing Bernard H. Worrick recorded before moving to Florida and into Wal-mart oblivion. Recorded for the most part in Fuerth, Germany, some individual tracks were also recorded in Adine, Italy and Berkeley, California. Features performances by Joseph B. Raimond, Bernard Worrick, Ralf Lexis, Adrian Gormley, Jeannette Gustavus, Michael Schulz-Pernice, .mario., Andropovski and Berrrrnd. Pressed on black plastic.

Title: Doc Wör Mirran

Label: MissmanagemenT Format: CD Catalog #: Have Five (MT-558) Release Date: December 20th , 2009

Twenty-five years to the day after the release of the very first DWM release (see early cassettes), DWM releases this re-mixed and partially re-recorded version of their classic cassette-only release. Part one of Historical Obscurity, a planned series of releases that will feature new versions of old, out of print tracks. Originally recorded in San Francisco when DWM was based there, many of the very experimental tracks were assignments for an electronic music class that Joseph B. Raimond was taking at the time. Cover includes photography by Jeandra Raimond of a bronze sculpture by Joseph B. Raimond that was inspired by the original cover art. Besides the original line-up of Joseph B. Raimond, Bernard Worrick, Rich Ferguson and Frank Abendroth, it also features on the new recordings input by Ralf Lexis, Peter Schuster and Jeandra Raimond. The original cover art of the cassette is also included in the cover. Pressed on blue plastic.

Title: Do Quermi Ran

Label: MissmanagemenT Format: CD Catalog #: Have Six (MT-563) Release Date: October 1st, 2011

DWM's newest studio recording from 2011 finds them much more in "band" mode than ever before. DWM stalwarts Joseph B. Raimond and Ralf Lexis are joined by new members Stefan Schweiger on drums and Alex Kamerer on guitar, bass and synth. This is the first time DWM has recorded extensively with a drummer and the result is a totally new sounding DWM instrumental recording that is much more dynamic than most previous recordings. Ten tracks in all, they still feature that DWM garage rock sound that defies all catagorization, which runs the whole spectrum from spaced out psychedelic rock to loud industrial influenced noise rock.
